I'm done

I finally finished my website. What a relief. I now have pictures of graduation, friends, and some of my sports pictures on my "pictures" page. To celebrate the completion of my website I went to lunch with jujub and melissa. I thought I could eat but you should have seen jujub. Four whoppers, three fries, two shakes, and apple pie.
Ok julie! I'm just playing.

Wrap-Up lunch

For the wrap-up lunch this thursday in south dining hall should we wear something other than what we would regularly wear to work?

Two peanuts were walking

So after the sexual h. meeting today I was thinking about any horrible stories that I remember about people being abused and I remembered this story.

Two peanuts were walking. One was a salted.

Pirates

I was thinking about the movie Pirates of the Carribean and I heard that the movie was rated PG-13. I thought to myself that this rating was very strange. If the movie is about pirates shouldn't the movie be rated RRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

Maybe before I go to the movies I will go to ARRRRby's!

Interesting meeting

The meeting on sexual h. was very amusing. Still, this topic is very serious and should be talked about. At what point is a person too sensitive? Sometimes it seams like anything said could be considered offensive. Sometimes I feel that the person "abused" is not assertive enough with the "abuser". You never know how sensitive one is towards comments or in general conversation so it would be helpful to just speak up and say that you don't appreciate what someone is saying.
The skits were comedy and I am proud of Tina for finally admitting that she is a man. Ooops, is that sexual. h? I think I just might start wearing my hair in a little pony tail all the time. In the situation where the male student was asked by his female prof. to dinner I think I would have responded differently. Is it sexual h. if someone said to me "I like yo teef"?

Reserch paper and Photography

Our research paper is almost due and I do not know what all needs to be included in the paper. Tomorrow we probably will find out but I am just wondering if anyone has a more detailed response. I also need to know if anybody has pictures from all of the trips that we have been on. I need them for my "picture" section of my website. Thanks.

Help

For my project in collection development I have to choose what I consider to be the top 50 most important events, people, cases, or groups in african american history. I have a book that gives me the "1001 things everyone should know about african american history" but I am still struggling on what to include because I am trying to consider the most important occurrences. Am I overlooking any huge events or movements that might not be in my book? Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Mommy, I don't feel so good.

I never want to look at sloppy joes or hotdogs or turkey wraps or tacos or wonderfully seasoned fries ever again. Today I went to south dining hall with "librarian in excellence". Thank you. The food there was so good and the best part was the unlimited supply of food. Mounds of food all for the King and I did not hold back. They really do need to have a mechanical food to prevent you from eating too much. I keep on thinking of what will happen to me at school. The freshman 15 will quickly turn into the freshman 50 and then 500. I can just roll down the hills of St. Louis. I'll eat so much that I wont be able to go up in the arch because of the weight limit. Today I didn't even have the best part, soft serve ice cream. Ummmmm....gooey goodness that flows into your little cup and slides down faster than crispy cremes. Jujub ate more than I did but I guess that's not surprising. Sorry Jujub.

Stolen Bike

Two weeks ago, the bike of summer minority student, Tina, was stolen. Unfortunately Tina forgot that in order to lock her bike she must lock the lock. Better luck next time Tina. Now life at my house is very difficult because my dad is upset about his bike and my grandmother no longer can ride to the market.

Hey Miss U

Hey Miss U. I am sorry that my blog does not reach your expectations. I was gone for a long time and was unable to update my blog. At least I was here more than Tina. Sorry Tina.

I'm Back!!!

Hello. Today is my first day back from vacation. I had a great time. Although I am going to school in St. Louis this fall, this was not the reason for my trip. My father had to go to a conference in St. Louis and my family always incorporates our vacation with the city where my father's convention is located.

research paper

Today marks the end of my second week at Hesburgh. I have chosen the death penalty as my subject for the research paper. The paper will probably consist of all the past and current problems with the death penalty and why the death penalty is still practiced. There have always been strong arguments for both the pros and cons of the death penalty and hopefully this paper will help me to have a stronger opinion on the subject.

work experiences

Today is the last day of my first week. So far all of my supervisors have been very helpful in introducing the basics and getting a feel for how the library works. Preservation has been a new experience with the sewing of pamphlets in binders and I learned how to use the fische in Periodicals. So far, the first week has been fine.
